Sebastian Schad

Sebastian Schad is a non-attorney Social Security representative at Schad Law. In 2026 he passed the SSA’s Eligible for Direct Payment Non-Attorney (EDPNA) examination — the same credential Sam Schad earned as part of the program’s inaugural group in 2005 — qualifying him to represent claimants before the Social Security Administration and to receive direct payment of fees in disability cases.

The EDPNA program requires candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree, pass a comprehensive examination on Social Security law and procedure, carry professional liability insurance, and complete continuing education focused on ethics and developments in disability law.

Sebastian works alongside Sam Schad on the firm’s Social Security Disability caseload, representing claimants at every stage of the process — from initial applications through hearings.
